On this second Sunday in Advent we get a foretaste of Christmas. Following this year's Advent theme of "incarnation," today's texts are about how God became incarnate in Jesus Christ-- all the way from birth to death. God is with us! God came among us (Advent!) and became fully human in Jesus revealing to us God's Self, God's heart, and God's will. That's what we prepare for and celebrate this Christmas.
