Today is the third Sunday in Advent, and we hear the story of how God’s Word became incarnate in Mary, when she heard the promise from the Angel Gabriel.  What “comes to birth” in us when we hear God’s promises?  The word of promise this Christmas is that God is with us in all of our brokenness and vulnerability, and the possibilities and blessings God gives us in the infant Jesus.  How will we “incarnate” that grace as God’s advent arrives within us?
