Our goal at St. Matthew's is to create and maintain a "caring culture". When one of our fellow members is in a time of financial stress, our Congregation Cares Fund is a resource for providing short term relief. A "Resource Directory" has been developed which is available to everyone. There are also ways to connect those in need with possible solutions while keeping anonymity a priority. The work of the Congregation Cares includes the following:
- Maintaining the Congregation Cares Fund
- Building up the Fund through various fundraising events
- Continuing to create awareness of resources in our area
- Encouraging donations
