On February 25, 2024, Chris Marziale, from Grace Crossing Community Church in Phoenixville, spoke to St. Matthew's congregation about their food pantry serving the greater Phoenixville area.

Our Outreach project this Lenten season we will be to partner with them by collecting targeted non-perishable food items that are in short supply at the Chester County Food Bank.

We will be collecting the following items:

  • Canned carrots
  • Canned beets
  • Salad dressings
  • Jelly/jam flavors other than grape (glass containers are ok)
  • Cereal (all variety welcome)
  • Boxed instant mashed potatoes
  • Baked beans
  • Pancake mix

In lieu of food items, you can also donate through the church’s website (select – Giving | Give Online Now, and “Outreach” as the To: option). We will buy food items to donate with proceeds received.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference in the lives of families facing food insecurity in our community.

Drop off bins will be located in the church narthex, in the CLC lobby, and outside the church office. Thank you in advance for your generosity and compassion. For more information or to get involved, contact Diana Sisum at (610) 864-9472 or at tdsisum1@yahoo.com
