The St. Matthew's community came together once again to serve meals and distribute winter clothing to those in need in Center City Philadelphia. A group of 30 volunteers met on Thanksgiving morning at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Communion. After a brief prayer service, we got to work and served a record 425 meals at the Holy Communion location, and by car to various other locations throughout the city. We also distributed over 250 hats, over 100 pairs of gloves, numerous multipacks of warm socks, and scarves to those who needed them.

Thank you to everyone at St. Matthew's who volunteered, donated clothes, or made a monetary donation. We also gave Holy Communion a check for over $1,300 for their needs.
